Some additional Notes:
- I did not want to use Corn Flakes or Rice Crispies, so I used some that are way more "healthy". These had organic ingredients, more fiber and less sugar.
- I put the cereal and sunflower seeds into a ziploc. Then I crushed them inside the bag so they were smaller chunks (but not too small).
- I put the stove (electric) at about 3/4 on. The honey bubbled and so it sorta, kinda boiled. A lower heat would be fine but would take a little longer.
- When I mixed it, it all melted together. And after about a minute, the entire mixture was a flexible clump. I did add a bit more honey because it seemed too stiff.
- I stirred it continually. If I stopped, the bottom got brown, so continually stirring makes sure it doesn't burn.
- The total time stirring was around 5 minutes. When I lifted the clump in the pan, the bottom of the pan was clean, nothing sticking to it.
- I didn't have a 9x9 pan, so I used a large flat dinner dish. I made sure the edges were pushed up so the mixture is nice and thick, around 3/4" thick.
- Used a nice sharp knife to cut it into squares.
